Crazy Japanese rockers continue to hunt the world. This time – snowbound Moscow!

On their way to world supremacy the fool visited Russia with their ~Crazy frogs hunting the world Extra stage in Russia~ tour. Shortly before the Moscow show JaME chatted with the cheerful band about music, Russia and future plans.

Hello, could you please introduce yourself to those of our readers who don’t know you yet?

Gunji: Hi, nice to meet you. I’m Gunji, vocalist of the fool.

TACA: Hello, JaME, I’m TACA, guitarist of the fool.

Goo: Hello. I’m a guitarist too, my name is Goo.

What made you start a music career?

Gunji: (consulting the others) We love music and we want to create a new sound. You know he’s my brother, right? (pointing at Goo) We’ve been playing together for a long time. And we've known TACA for quite a long time, so we trust each other. Together we dream of creating new music to be able to share our emotions and thoughts.

All of you always wanted to become musicians, didn’t you?

the fool: (nods)

But whom did you want to be if you hadn’t started a band?

Gunji: I think I’d become a vet. You know I got a pet, a rabbit. And I also had a cat and a dog. I love animals.

TACA: Maybe I’d become a programmer. Or perhaps a video games developer.

Do you like video games? Which, for example?

TACA: Final Fantasy, Dragon Age and Super Mario. (laughs)

Goo: If I didn’t become a musician I’d be a teacher.

What do you like about being in a band?

TACA: The fact that we can express our thoughts and emotions through our music.

What song of your album Crazy frogs around the world is your favourite?

Gunji: Good question. (laughs) For you, the second track.

TACA: I like For you too.

Goo: Definitely Crazy's crew because we call our fans Crazy's crew. This track is a symbol of our unity with them.

What do you feel when you’re on stage in front of so many people?

Gunji: We are always excited. But we aren’t nervous at all before the show.

TACA: And during the live we just have fun and rock out together with our fans.

How do you usually get ready for the show? Maybe you have a tradition?

Gunji: We gather together and scream “Ready! Go!!!” (laughs)

It’s your first time in Russia. What do you think about it?

Goo: Very cold. (everybody laughs)

TACA: Yeah, very cold but we had a warm welcome.

What did you think about Russia before the tour?

Gunji: We couldn’t even imagine what to expect of this country. While being here we saw picturesque towns covered with snow. (laughs) And we took a night train. Everything is so interesting!

How did you prepare for the trip?

Gunji: TACA bought a very expensive coat. (laughs) Personally, I didn’t do anything special.

You are in Russia for three days already. What do you think about it now?

Gunji: Beautiful Russian girls… and great visual kei fans! We were in Kazan yesterday, and the audience was very hot!

TACA: Fantastic show!

Gunji: And crazy fangirls. (everyone laughs)

Have you planned any new releases?

Gunji: Yep, of course. We are releasing the new maxi-single Salamander this March.

Do you want to continue your overseas activities?

Gunji: Overseas? Yes, we’ve already got a show scheduled for Canada. And someday we’d also like to perform in the US.

Please give a message to your fans.

Gunji: Thanks to all our Russian fans. We promise to do our best and return next year. Please keep supporting us! (In Russian) Thank you!

TACA: (In Russian) Hi, everyone! (Continues in English). Thanks a lot to all our fans. I love all of you! (In Russian) Thank you!

Goo: (In Russian) Thanks! Cool. (laughs) Arigatou!

Thank you and good luck!

JaME would like to thank the fool, the band management and J-Concert Agency for making this interview possible.
